- 1 packet Shan Nihari Masala
- 1 cup fried onions
- 1 lb beef with bone and 1 lb boneless beef
- 1 cup neutral oil
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup fried onions
- 4 cups water
Bhagar
- 1/2 cup fried onions
- 1/2 cup of ghee
- 1.2 tbsp papriks
Garnish
- sliced lemon
- chopped jalapeno/serranos
- chopped cilantro
- one knob of ginger julienned
- I use a pressure cooker
- Heat one cup of oil, fry meat one by one, until the water that is released from the meat starts evaporating
- add one packet of nihari to half cup of water, then add to meat
- Add 1 cup of fried onions to meat
- keep frying for about 8 minutes
- Add enough water to cover the meat
- pressure cook for
- add one cup of water to one cup of flour and drizzle into nihari while mixing
- for bhagar: heat the ghee and add 2 tbsp fried onion and paprika
- once the bhagar is hot and frying, add to nihari
- Sprinkle cilantro, serrano, and ginger on Nihari, and enjoy with fresh naan, recipe can be found here.
